½cupshort grain rice
1stripdried pollack
2-3clovesblack garlic, fermentedpeeled
3-4ozsoybean sprout
125mlwater
¼tspsea salt
Savory Sauce
1½TbspKorean soy sauce
1Tbspwater
½Tbspseasme oil
½Tbspgochugaru
½Tbspmirin
1tspsesame seeds
2bundlesscallionschopped
1-2TbspKorean green pepperdiced
Instructions
Wash rice and let it sit on a strainer for 5min. Then pour into earthenware.
Layer on top of rice with garlic, dried pollak, and soybean sprouts.
Mix water and salt then pour into earthenware.
Put lid on and bring to boil. Then lower heat and simmer for about 30min or until rice is soft.
Mix sauce while rice is cooking. Set aside
Take earthenware away from heat and add desired amount of sauce. Mix well and drizzle with sesame oil. Optional, can add fried egg on top.
