Korean Watermelon Punch/Subak Hwachae (Dairy Free)

Here's a great way to beat the summer heat! This simple modern version of Subak Hwachae, also known as Korean Watermelon Punch, is the key to cooling you down this summer! Try this super refreshing fruity punch bowl today!

Equipment

  • 1 Blender
  • 1 small cookie scooper or melon baller

Ingredients

  • 15 1" round watermelon balls
  • 1 cup watermelon juice cold
  • ½ Tbsp sugar
  • cup ice cubes
  • cup ginger ale cold
  • 3-4 fresh stevia leaves

Instructions

  • Take a whole fresh watermelon and slice it into half. Then place the half watermelon on a counter and stabilize it.
  • Using a cookie or ice cream scooper. use rotating motions to scoop out 15-20 watermelon round balls. Set aside.
  • Use a blender to create watermelon juice with sugar.
  • Into a medium size bowl, add watermelon balls, watermelon juice, ginger ale and ice cubes.
  • Ladle watermelon punch into individual bowls. Serve cold with spoon.
  • Optional: Garnish with greens like stevia or mint leaves.
