Easy 15-Minute Fried Rice Recipe

This Easy 15-minute Fried Rice Recipe is your perfect meal solution for an easy weeknight meal! All you need is a hot skillet and few simple ingredients to make this fried rice for the whole family! And don't forget to pack your leftover fried rice for lunch the next day!

Ingredients

  • 3 strips bacon chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 stalk green onions chopped, divided
  • 1 egg large
  • 3 cups day old rice 1
  • 10.8 oz Birds Eye Frozen Vegetable Package Steam Fresh: Broccoli, Carrots, Sugar Snap Peas & Water Chestnuts

Sauce

  • 1-2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp roasted sesame oil

Garnish

  • 1 pinch toasted sesame seeds
  • green part of green onion chopped

Instructions

  • Set all the ingredients on the counter. Chop and mince as needed. Make the sauce in a small bowl and set aside.
  • Heat a large skillet/wok in high heat. Render the bacon chunks for a couple of minutes, then add garlic and the white part of green onion while stirring.
  • Once bacon is semi crispy, add one egg. Scramble the egg.
  • Next add the rice. You don't need to add oil, Separate the rice with wooden spoons. Once the rice is separated and fluffy, add the sauce and stir fry for another 1-2mins.
  • Empty the frozen vegetable packet into the skillet and stir fry for 2-3 minutes. Add butter, salt and pepper, stir fry until desired consistency. Garnish with green part of green onion and sesame seed. Serve hot.
